I hope everyone had a great Labor Day. We spent part of the day decluttering. I placed some item on the curb for Metro’s Bulk item pick up. I called Metro today to schedule a pick up. The stuff should be gone in 1-5 business days so we’ll see how fast they collect it. It was an easy process just had to call and tell them what I had set out. Click for a list of Bulk Items that Metro will pick up. Please make use of this service to help keep the neighborhood looking great.
All items must be placed at the curb or near the edge of the street. The Sheriff’s Office will not pick up items in alleys or on private property, including apartment and condominium complexes. To place a Bulk Item pick up request, please contact Public Works Customer Service by calling (615) 862-8750. Place your items out by the curb then call with a list of the items to request a pick up. The Sheriff’s Office will schedule your pick-up within 1-5 business days after your request is made.
Reminder september 19 is the next Brush and leaf pick up date.
UPDATE:The actually picked the stuff up today just a day after I called. It’s a great service to but you have to call otherwise they won’t pick up bulk items.
